Derrick Alonzo Payne was born on November 7,1973 in Dade City ,Florida to Morris Payne and Geneva Sampson Lamont. At an early age , he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and later became a member of Holy Band Of Inspiration And Deliverance Temple. Derrick was an avid fisherman with an infectious smile who loved life. But what he loved more than life itself was being a father to his four sons. He enjoyed spending time with them, watching them grow and excel at life. Even in sickness he made sure he was there for their every need and their accomplishments. Derrick passed away on January 9,2018 at Florida Hospital Tampa at the age of 44. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents Robert and Mary Sampson and leaves the following to cherish his memories:his parents Morris Payne (Sherlie) and Geneva Sampson Lamont; four sons, Derrick Sampson, Alonzo Sampson, Bryce Sampson, and Trenton Payne; his best friend and the mother of three of his children Jeanice Smith; his siblings, Michael Payne, Pamela Pugh, Stacey Felder, Telekinesis Payne, Shelekenesis Payne, and Morris White (Lester); his godmother Dorsey Steele; his godchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nephew; and a numerous relatives and friends.
