Richard Scott Russell

Richard Scott Russell (Rich), 56 of Springhill, Florida passed away in Brooksville on August 15, 2024, following an extended illness. Scott was born June 6, 1968, in Warren, Ohio. He moved to Florida following graduation from Champion High School of Ohio in 1987.

Scott is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Viriginia Ann Russell, parents Carole (Weyer) and Richard (Dick) Russell of Crystal River, FL, sister Michelle Russell-Maynard and brother-in-law Jay Maynard of Crystal River, FL, nephew Corey Hicks of Lecanto, FL, step children Ginger Ann Dearth of Lecanto, FL and Terrance and Crystal (Preeper) Brady of Hudson, FL, grandchildren Deacon and LilaAnn Dearth, Vanessa. Terrance Jr., and Brianna Brady, great grandchildren Nikolai Dearth and Valerie Brady, all of Florida and sister-in-law Elaine (Fail) and Jim Hutchinson of Springhill, FL and Georgia Yvo Busby of Havelock, North Carolina.

His paternal grandparents Florence and Oliver Russell (Tot and Buck) and maternal grandparents Ann and Charles Weyer (Nana and Papa), both of Warren, Ohio predeceased Scott. He also leaves behind cousins and other extended family in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

Scott enjoyed time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Max who predeceased him. Over the years he did auto body and mechanical work. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, collecting die-cast cars and just talking with his family and friends. Scott will be missed greatly by all.

There will be a memorial service held at Hicks Road Baptist Church in Hudson,Florida.  The Date has not been finalize.
